Snowshoe's "pride" does not live outdoors so she is just bringing in the
"catch of the day" to show off and get some encouragement.

Our Morris loved to catch hognose snakes out in the open and pester them for
hours at a time. Hognose snakes are non-poisonous and turn up side down
and play possum when accosted. After giving the snake a good clubbing with
a large paw, he would retire to the shade and let the snake turn upright and
start on its way, then he would dash over and whack it again. Thus starting
the cycle over again.
