I guess I just never wanted to take the time to do zone focusing. I 
want to place the best plane of focus precisely. Too many times early 
in my photojournalism days I missed the best quality be not focusing 
carefully enough.

But then I tend to prefer subjects I have to shoot in low light with 
wide apertures. I rarely shoot at smaller apertures than 5.6. I always 
use the absolute slowest film I can get away with.

But yes, the M is a fun camera (as is my G3), and now that I think of 
it, there were a few times I used zone focusing, and it was a very 
strange experience for me. :-)
