Perhaps I should change the thread subject. All I was trying to say is that as an M user, I found some similarities to the handling and size of the G5 relative to the M. The original statement, by you, was that shutter lag was an issue. I am disagree with that for the way I often shoot. With my Ms I have two choices; focus and shoot or zone focus. Which I use depends on optics I'm using and situation I find myself in. Additionally, the M is compact. All I was saying about the G5 is that the focusing is fast (in MY opinion, close to as fast as I can focus an M in some situations) and once focused (by pressing the shutter halfway down) I can wait for the moment and there is very little delay once I full depress the shutter (focus and shoot, just like the M!). Or I can zone focus if I want (just like the M). So I can see where you think this might be a pain in the butt, but it's excactly what I do with an M which I don't consider to be a pain in the butt, but lots of fun!
