From Ansel Adams to Salgado, Winogrand to Duane Michaels, DDD to Sam Abell. And Ted's is one of my most highly-prized books. All the praise heaped on Ted's book is well-deserved. He is a fantastic photographer who shoots from the heart. He may not know a densitometer from an aspherical lens element's dimensions in his 35 Summilux, but he knows people, life and how to capture them on film. You can not go wrong buying this book. Here's a gift suggestion: Give it to your favorite doctor just before he uses his proctoscope! BUY IT! And no, I don't get any fee for saying so. And Ted, I'm still waiting for that "Real Photographers Shoot Black and White" autobiography!
