I can hold a slower speed with the Leicaflex any variety than I can with an R any flavor. The flex has a horizontal shutter running slower than the vertical of the R's. The logic of the slit making a difference would favor the faster running blades. My personal opinion is that what matters is a smooth shutter release and enough mass so that the mirror doesn't move the body much. Oh, and a hand eye coordination that doesn't start moving around just because you can't see anymore.
