When i go out shooting with my 21 Asph i tend to always have it set at .7m and be shooting at that distance and try to shoot as stopped down as i can. But I can often cram closer than that because I know with the depth of field I'm getting the foreground subject will still be in focus. But I'm hyped on the diopter idea but you say it is easy to figure out but you haven't given us any clues or head start. Do the tape thing and use it as a groundglass? The way I feel about it when you're shooting with a 21 and something is more than 4 feet away it's gone; disappeared over the horizon. It's a speck. Call it Richard.
