I use it to help make up a walking around kit. I hate lens pouches, camera cases, and all such burdens. If I am taking what amounts to my "big kit," I will carry one body, a 50 mm and a 35mm spherical Summicron, and a "Skinny" Tele-Elmarit. The double lens carrier permits me to keep two lenses in one jacket pocket, reserving the other pocket for film. Other than that, I can't see much use for the double lens carrier and don't recommend its purchase. It assumes you have two lenses you don't want to use. I have enough bodies to keep my lenses mounted most of the time with only one left-over. It got to be a pain removing the gray ring and fumbling around for a rear cap. Two rear caps glued together would have solved that problem. It was a good idea for traveling though ... in the actual transport phase when you pack everything down as compactly as possible.
