B.D. makes some good points. I think that the external viewfinder is really
overlooked and even looked down as a tool on a camera, they are so easy to
use. With a 21 and 24mm there is really no choice, but, when in certain
situations I even put the external finder on my 28 and 35mm and sometimes
use it on a 50mm. An external finder is not really much slower than the
in-camera finder and you soon get used to using it. A nice advantage to the
external finder is NOT having to scrunch your face up to that dinky little
viewing hole on the body. With the external finder there is no need for your
face to even touch the finder and in fact I can see a beautiful view with my
eye about a 1/2 inch away from the finder. The external finder is like
watching a 24" TV versus a 17" TV.
