One of the primary benefits of a rangefinder camera is that it allows you to see what is outside the frame line; it gives you the ability to anticipate the image, and to better manipulate the camera to frame the image. Keep in mind the truism that "the frame is all you have" - it's what you work with in creating your image; it creates the image. No, no camera's framing view is perfect- most SLRs are far from perfect. But using an external finder with the 24 and 21 brings you much closer to having accurate framelines within which to compose. Further - While it may be possible to crush the camera to your face and use the edges of the viewfinder to frame, you sure can't work quickly and comfortably that way. IMHO - B. Consider buying much less expensive Voightlander/Cosina 25mm finder. sl - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
