IMHO it's not as bad as i was expecting but I'm sure it would be better if it didn't have that problem. One thing that i think really helps is a soft release. It lets you ride through the up and down motion. For me it's not rapidwinder OR motordrive it's both and I choose depending on the variables.Today for instance i went for a bike ride downtown, one handed shooting necessitated the motor drive.-daniel mcclenaghan - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Martin Howard" <mvhoward@mac.com> To: <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> Sent: Friday, November 15, 2002 4:39 PM Subject: Re: [Leica] motordrive moron > > Unfortunately, the Leica motor for M cameras has a terrible, massive > design flaw: It bangs the shutter release into your finger for each > frame it shoots, jostling the whole camera/lens around in your hand. > Ok, so someone said that it's a result of the M having a mechanical > shutter release (or something like that) but don't the Nikon F and F2 > have mechanical shutter releases too?
