Great Stuff Robert!
Are all those F/2.8?? I find that using the Modular series (400, 560,
800) is a bit more shallow - what do your 1.4X and 2X backs give you? I also
find that, using the modular backs instead of converters (the 1.4x converter
is OUTSTANDING on the 400 2.8, however, but the 2x is a bit less less than
expected with the 560 and 800 (probably vibration). I am now going the
opposite way - in terms of weight - using Doug Herr's suggested 400 and 560
F/6.8 achromats. LIGHT and focus FAST. SLOWWWW .... but portable.
back to the mod systems though - So how does your DOF using the modules
vs. Converters turn out? Would optical 'law' state it should not change?
Rugby must have been fun!
