[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]The latest copy of the French photography magazine Résponses Photo has a short interview with Hanns-Peter Cohn of Leica in which he says that the R9 will be the _successor_ to the R8, that it will be lighter than the R8 (not smaller - he uses the word leger), that it will have a magnesium body. Also that there 'may be' new flash programmes. He indicates that it may be more expensive than the R8. There is a photo of him holding the R9 but of course it's impossible to really see any detail on the camera - the mag does say that it is very similar to the photo-simulation that was shown recently in a German magazine. The magazine also says that there will be a new R 90mm based on the M Summicron and a new 36x 24 point and shoot.
