In manual there is no meter, so compensation takes forever. I gave it up because of the number of pictures I lost from back lighting. Every few years I would try one again hoping it would work for me (it is a very nice handing body), but the metering problem kept driving me crazy. I know a local professional who consulted an electronics expert about installing a meter lock or having metered manual, but was told the cost would be prohibitive. His CLE's went on the market the day that the M6 appeared. In fact, CLE's seemed to be very plentiful at the time. The rangefinder on the CLE was always a strain to use in low light, but everthing was always in focus. My wish is still for a very light weight body which will use my Leica M lenses. I have my fingers crossed waiting for a Bessa M with a reliable rangefinder. Jay Goldman
