That's why some people can see the 35 lines with an M2 much easier than others. Leicas do not have a very wide rear opening in the viewfinder. I also have a Hexar RF, which has a larger rear opening. It is a .62 , but I can see more than with a .58 M6. I have used .72 for years and even with my eyes glued to the finder there is a little missing. The M5 shows the most. I currently use the M5 and the Hexar RF. Everything is a compromise. Give the M2 a chance and see what the results are before doing anything. It was the model that hooked me on Leica inthe 60's and it is a great camera. Jay Goldman
