Hmm.  I'm not certain that these figures are correct for the Leica but,
again, I don't have my Prewar Leica stuff at hand.  I believe the price
differential was quite a bit tighter than this.

Neither camera, of course, was marketed for those making an average wage:
Leitz aimed at the middle class, while Zeiss Ikon targeted the professional
and scientific photographer.
