By the way, as of 1 July our mailing special is over and shipping is $10. minimum and maximum for all orders (meaning that you can buy as many items as you wish and still be charged no more than $10. - the reverse is true also for $10. but it is too depressing to greatly comment on). By the way, the Erich Hartmann show (the opening of which was attended by many LUGGERS as from here they went to their meeting) is still on in the main gallery area and LUG member Sal DiMarco, Jr.'s work is on display in the Oskar Barnack Room (several of his portrait of the pianist, Rubinstein, have been sold). It is a particularly interesting show and it will be up through 11 August. Now for the opening show of next season (first time released anywhere): September 6 - September 29 (opening reception on Wednesday Sept. 12) Leica Medal of Excellence (Paolo Pellegrin, a new nominee of Magnum) and the Leica Lifetime Achievement Award: Marc Riboud (Magnum) with a booksigning planned for Marc Riboud on Saturday 8 September. Pellegrin's photographs will be in the first main gallery room and Marc Riboud's the balance of the gallery. In the Oskar Barnack Room the plan now is to have photographs of previous winners of the Leica Medal of Excellence (Ralph Gibson, Alex Webb, Susan Meiselas, etc., etc.). Keep the dates open as it should be a wonderful Leica show. Best regards, Rose and Jay Deutsch/Leica Gallery, 670 Broadway, NYC 10012 (hours through 11 August: Tues. thru Friday 11 to 6 and Saturday 12 to 6).
