The Telyts I use with the most active subjects and using a tripod has repeatedly lost me photos, particularly in dense brush where legs get tangled, I have to lift the whole contraption high over my head just to move it 3 inches, and more often than not it and I end up a cursing, bleeding mass in a mixed patch of blackberry thorns and poison oak. Do you think a nuttall's woodpecker will hang around while I sort things out? Other than family snapshots yes I do intend to use the tripod more, not only for camera steadiness and MLU but also so I won't hurry the photo just because I'm in an uncomfortable position.
