In that respect a 28 seems to me to be lot wider angle than a 35. If you stand still, then change from 28 to 35 to 50, there is little difference in the field of view between adjacent fl.... but if you now MOVE YOUR BODY to take in the same image area, the perspective changes and therefore the differences in the FL becomes more pronounced.
