Jerry-
I may be 'late' in responding, but my experience is that the silver oxide
batteries last a long time with a light load, such as found in meters-
alkaline seem to be made for heavier loads, like calculators, etc- so I have
used both in my camera with about the same results. Since I change my
batteries every year regardless, I cannot say which will last longer....
