Nikon can make the FM2n for that much and it's much nicer feeling than the R. It's not that I don't like the Bessa R,I've owned it and a Bessa-L for a short while. I've seen really low prices for the Bessa L ($129) from a major retailer. Let's hope the Bessa-R drops to a level that reflects it's build quality (less than $300!!)
