I'd like to see them offer an electronic shuttered, metal body,m-mount Bessa. The Bessa-R,while being a neat little camera, just aren't worth the $500US they generally run..they feel so cheap. Certainly not up to the feel of the lenses Cosina makes for it. --- Jem Kime <jem.kime@cwcom.net> wrote: > Rusty, > I spoke with the UK Voigtlander rep. yesterday at > 'Focus', the UK's equivalent to Photokina/PMA. > He told me that the release of the Bessa 2 is > embargoed (oops! what am I saying this for?) until > the 15th of March. > "Beware the Ides of March" (Julius Ceaser - > -Shakespear) > The UK magazine 'Amateur Photographer' is going to > run a feature on the new camera printed on the 17th. > It is expected to have an M-mount. > There is also another fascinating development in the > wings that is closer to our heart than I feel I > should reveal just yet... > Jem > > -----Original Message----- > From: rusty hubbard [SMTP:rustyhub@yahoo.com] > > I noticed on the Cosina Japan homepage ..there is an > animated banner that states ..."1999 Bessa-L ,2000 > Bessa-R,2001 Bessa-?..15.3.20 Voigtlander New Bessa. > " > I would guess this is the Bessa-M?? or perhaps > an > electronic shutter Bessa-R?
