I do everything that you do, except that I use deionized tap water
rather than distilled water, I add 1 capful of PhotoFlo per 500ml of
washwater, and I squeegee my negatives. I've never had a watermark.
I don't treat the final wash as a wash, but rather I seesaw the film
back and forth through the PhotoFlo mixture and then hang up and
squeegee the film.
