If I had brought my camera to the birth of either of my children, I am
positive that my gentle wife would have strangled me with the strap and
pounded the camera to smithereens while screaming "Where's that
anesthesiologist!" .   

Seriously though, a childbirth is something to be savored. Having a camera
and thinking about anything other than wife and child really interferes with
the experience.
