RE: constructive criticism.

By all means, criticism is good. Even if it's not constructive. It's not
about life or death. It's about learning. Speaking of which, here's a few
tidbits I've learned so far from putting up my own web site:

- -- a free hosting site may not have the fastest response time. Switching
over to another site isn't that easy.
- -- it's more difficult than it seems to build a site, especially when you
have no particular goal in mind other than to brush up on java coding.
- -- you have greater piece of mind regarding content -- including cheezy self
portraits -- when you think you might get 1 hit a year, vs a dozen hits in a
week from people with whom you correspond.
- -- Presentation is important! (Why does that photograph look so much better
in a nice frame?)
- -- simplicity is good, but not always that easy to acheive.
- -- if someone tears apart your favorite on-line photograph you can always
claim that the original looks much better, rationalizing that they probably
just viewed it with an older graphics card and a CGA monitor.
