Guy,
There may be something you can do.  The Tennessee legislature passed a law
last year establishing a "Do Not Call" list.  Telephone solicitors are
required to remove you from their lists if you put your name and phone
number on the list of "Do Not Call" Numbers.  Dinner time has sure been
peaceful in my house since I registered.  Maybe you can lobby for a similar
law in your neck of the woods.
