>How did this get into the LUG????????

I too was baffled by this spam. Particularly as I have just changed
servers, and have been very careful about giving my new electronic address
to anyone (I was receiving between 5 and 10 spam messages per day on my
previous server). I was puzzled because it came to my "in" box, and not to
my "LUG" mailbox, as do certain messages addressed to the LUG from time to
time. (BTW, does anyone know why/how that happens?)

Finally, I've been wondering if there is anything one can do about spam
like this? I've tried asking to be removed from lists like this one when
the spammer says that one can be removed from the list upon request, but
that doesn't seem to work. Is there any law against this type of invasion
of privacy (that's what this type of unsollicited BS is, IMO)?

This morning I received an unsolicited visit from two persistent ladies
from the local church who wanted to talk to me about the bible, now I get a
message for a viagra substitute on the LUG. My basic response in both cases
is: Leave me the f*** alone! I'm just not sure how to say that politely and
efficiently. "No thank you, I'm not interested, please remove me from your
list" does not work.
