Henry,

The Contax could be one answer.

The other is practice a lot with your M6.
Pretty soon you'll have exposure figured before you even know you did it.
Focusing will get easier. Make yourself use the M exclusively. No other 
camera. One lens. Make lots of bad pictures. They'll get better.
You'll get it.
Then you won't want the Contax anymore!
