I'm assuming this but it would make sense since their new equipment development has been directed toward the AF system(s), and the digital body due out later this year is part of the N-1 system. Leica has a very long history of maintaining compatability with the earliest R equipment, where practical. Contax looks more like they're following Canon's lead in dropping the FD series in favor of EOS.
