If one has not seen the original Family of Man book, don't worry about it, as the photography comes from a different world than we live in today and to try and capture similar images puts the project in jeopardy before we start. Don't sweat the big names involved in the yesteryear version, their's was a much different simple society. It's important that you just do your thing along the lines of "people" whatever that maybe from birth to death and everything in between. The success will be created by the diversity of the LUG photo talent and where we live around the globe. It will be the simplicity of images that will give the warmth, excitement and feeling of the "Family of Man II " a place in history. Look at it this way, regardless of who's in this group, as of this moment we are all equal Leica using photographers who love life and being picture takers. And we're going to do something really different and special. Simply because, we are going to " KISS " it! Keep It Simple Stupid and it will be successful! Good luck everyone and great images to all. Now lets get out there and kick ass, photographically speaking of course! ;-) ted
