This reminds me of a visit to the official Canadian repair depot back in
the days of Queen Street Camera's distributership of Leica when the guy
behind the counter freaked out when he saw me put my 35 summilux down on
its rear.  It is true that the rear lens element has a large curvature, but
there is enough clearance to make what I did safe.
