If the quality was better,
If they wanted something more 'exclusive' (rather like buying into the Leica image),
If they figured it might be a good investment, (it won't sell many units)
If they wanted European rather than Japanese glassware,
If they wanted to examine its new anti-vignetting design,

why would anyone pay more than a 15 Heliar to get a much slower fixed aperture
lens ?
