I had planned on purchasing a 28mm/2.8 in or near February for a trip to Italy, but it sounds like the 28mm/2 may be worth the wait. Also...please forgive me, but.....what is Photokina? I understand that it is in Cologne...is it a specific Leica exposition or for photography in general? Thanks to all, Robert Clark Lancaster, PA LEICAMAN56@aol.com wrote: > For those of you interested in this new lens, here are the pertinent > specifications: > > Number of elements: 9 (6 groups, 1 aspherical) > Filter size: E 46 > Smallest aperture: 16 > Focussing range: inf. to 0.7 m > Front lens dia: 49 mm > Length from bayonet flange: 52.6 mm (without hood) > Weight (without lens hood): 9.5 oz. > > MAP $1995.00 with expected delivery date Feb. 2001.
