I disagree with that assertion also.  In fact, an M6 is what I DO use for 
out of focus work....because the Summilux lenses have, in my opinion, the 
best bokeh rendering of any lenses I have ever used.  From what I 
understand, this IS one of the things that the M lenses do best...
