Over the last few months, I've read some amusing and disturbing stories of malfunctions on R8's. The R6.2 and R8 appear to have the same list price. I am not looking for highly automated functions - only a simple meter will do. But I am looking for exceptional reliability. Can someone also tell me the important differences between the R7 and R6.2? XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Vick, I would not hesitate to get the R8 -- even if it has problems (and I've had my fair share), it now comes with a 5 year warranty, and it is a "wonderful" manual camera. It just likes being used on M where most cameras say "hey come now you don't really want to make your own decisions". Cheers Alastair
