One reason for not spending that kind of money on the S3 is that it is a
one of kind offering...Nikon in making no indications that they will
provide more than the token 50mm lens for this camera.  Leica on the other
hand has been supporting the M series for almost 50 years, with continuing
innovation in lens designs.  The Leica can still be used productively as a
profesional camera, whereas the S3 is clearly meant to be displayed only.
How many of those 7000 cameras will actually take a photograph on film?

Not thats there's anything wrong with that!  ;-)
