I most certainly am not a dealer.

I am not in this for profit. I am in it to enjoy the photographic
exercise and to keep the difference between the 'entrance fee' and
'exit fee' as small as possible. Others may not care and it's their
choice to throw money away needlessly and insist on banning the four
letter word "ebay" from the LUG.

Anyone on LUG who doesn't take advantage of the buying/selling world
of ebay, IMHO, are only hurting themselves. I have bought many Leica
items at bargain prices and sold many items as well. It's a great
service. On the other hand, maybe I should be dissuading LUGgers from
going to ebay, as that way there will be fewer people to compete with
on those good deals I've found. :)

Lastly, the spirit of the LUG, as I see, is the enjoyment and
camaraderie that is generated through the common interest in Leica
equipment. LUGgers routinely recommend Goldberg or Krauter or B&H or
other vendors, eBay is just one more trading source, so it should
they be banned, any more so than the aforementioned vendors?

Since there are usually 20-25 pages of Leica equipment at any given
time for sale on eBay (considerably more than any single Leica vendor
I know of) why ignore it under some vague idealistic premise?
