Subject: [Leica] Age of Leitz Pradovit Color slide projector?

Hello LUG,

Dropping in here briefly from the Contax community (yup, I'm firmly in the
Zeiss camp ;->), but I've just become the proud owner of a second-hand Leitz
Pradovit Color slide projector with Colorplan f2.5/90mm lens in excellent
shape! I'm perfectly happy with my new gem, the build quality is excellent
(Deutsche Gruendlichkeit), results are great. It even had a spare bulb and
spare fan cord in the lid, I take it that that's original. I am impressed
(you are now probably going to say there's hope for me yet :->).

Anyways, I'd like to get some additional info on this machine and am hoping
the LUG can shed some light on it. It's a Leitz 'Pradovit Color'. On the
serial number plaque underneath the lens it says:

Pradovit V (the V is in subscript, I take it it's either a 5 or a Vee?)
Type 31.058.500
Serialnumber 896096

I'm mainly interested in it's age but any additional info is welcome of
course. Also, maybe someone has a manual for this machine (not that I need
it, but it's nice to have it complete). Does anybody know what such a
machine had to cost when it was new in the shops?

Hope you people can help, thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Jurgen.
