Hi Jim,

Actually, I have no bias either way, and intend to learn both silver and
digital printing (and anything else these tired brain cells can register
about photography).

Truth be told, as a programmer, I'm more comfortable in front of a PC than
an enlarger in a darkroom. But that makes the latter all that more
appealing to me, and seeing the image emerge on paper in a tray of developer
is pure magic. I'll be spending a lot more time with this "wet, smelly
method." :)

I very much appreciate your posts (and Ted's and Erwin's and Johnny's and
Austin's and Mark's, et. al., without exception). Oddly enough, I've
learned even from the few personal squabbles I've seen take place here in
the 3 mos. I've been a reader.

The overriding message seems to be one of passion, and LUGgers are quite
passionate folks. There's an investment and commitment to this art that is
shared here; beyond the differences of opinion, the various and sundry ways
of turning light into art, that passionate dedication reigns supreme.

Regards,
Dan
