If I was in a tropical rain forest or anywhere with intense goings ons I would not be wanting to change lenses. A lens on each body would be the way to go. Many photographers do this. Our Tom Abrahamsson does and has told us about it. But there is plenty of reasons to have multitudinous M6's or plenteous R's that I can see and use them at a shoot as well! Me I keep my 2 bodies in a soft case with the lenses. I sometimes think of an extra bodies like i think of a Hasselblad back. (The sound of two cameras smashing into each other as I wear them on straps around my more than make me wince!!! ouch) And I've renounced straps period a few years back. Not long wasted enough! Body #1: Delta 400 with my favorite lens on it, the 50 Summicron Body #2: Delta 100 stick the 35 Summicron ASPH on it Body #3: Portra 400 VC ColorNeg with the 24mm Elmarit Body #4: Kodachrome 64 or sometimes 200 or 25. The 90 Elmarit. But as I've only got 2 bodies so that makes me a black and white photographer. It's hard to shoot when you are worrying about your precious cameras breaking. Having a backup makes you much more brave and therefore proliferant. A backup backup even more so. I'd like to have Sherry CLA my first M6 body. But that leaves me with only my TTL to shoot with. Can't have only one body. I'm spoiled. So I'll get a third in the next year. Put Delta 400 in all three!! Not having to change lenses is a big reason to have lots of bodies though. Two bodies so you can shoot both color and black and white. And a third in case one goes out. Multiples! Multiple Mark
