Subject: [Leica] M3 Modifications

Luggers,
Brother Martin's comments about M3 modifications in digest 237 were not
quite correct.
A good technician who can install a three prong (M6) wind stem into an
M3, and
would know to install the reset arm which is on all M cameras from the M4
on....
But a much simpler solution is the rapid loading kit. It has an internal
spool which drops down so you can tug on it and reset an M3 counter dial.
Combine this with the Wasserman rewind crank and PC flash tips and you have
a fast
operating tool. Oh, yes, add a Abrahamasson Rapidwinder too.....
Also, this is one professional who gets first rate service from Leica
USA and always has.
Happy Snaps,
Sal

PS- Martin H.- I got a big laugh from your QC post. It was the best thing on
the LUG that day and the one with the MOST reality.....
