Nathan,
I didn't get any brochure and this is the first I've heard of the six
month figure. (I got the order form off Steve Gandy's web site; no
brochure was there.) At least that language is illuminating. I think
what is so irritating to me in all this is my own failure. Failure to
wait one week so I could see the dealers offering a better deal than
LHSA itself.

In and of itself this doesn't seem quite right either. I still think it
would be a nice gesture for LHSA to remit the first year's dues, or ask
Leica to do so to make the deals even and not penealize those who joined
first. After all, I would think the goals of LHSA would be a strong
commitment to its members who presumably are going to be renewing year
after year.
