Don't know what that means in terms of numbers (a few hundred units a year??) He thought it was maybe because the camera is too big for local tastes and indeed, I handled the R8 with motordrive and the combo is really bulky for me. Curiously, I was told that sales of R8s in Taiwan are brisk - so the difference in sales between HK and Taiwan - isn't because customers are Chinese. If I were to venture into Leica SLRs I think it would be with an R6.2 for the size alone. On second thought I think I'll stick with my loaner M6 and the rangefinder series and go out and take pictures. Cheers Howard.
