On Topic- Leicas I have seen in movies: "Too Hot to Handle" (1938) with Clark Gable, Myrna Loy, Walter Pidgeon in a story about newsreel photographers, and the questions raised about 'staging' news. Walter Pidgeon is seen in one scene with what appeared to be a Leica Standard or IIa, in black- NO BRASSING! and a pristine case with a collapsible Elmar.... Well in 1938, I guess it WOULD be without brassing! It seems even 60 odd years ago, there was concern about faking stories and staging events.... Staged or not, I sure would have liked to pull Myrna Loy out of a burning aeroplane!!!
