Ah - this could start an interesting flame! But IMO the beauty is in the palate of the beholder. Take Laphroaig for instance - renowned for its peaty and smoky flavour - but who likes drink peat? This aroma in your town´s drinking water would cause lots of complaints from the citizens. It did last summer in Turku, Finland.
But Talisker on the other hand, or Bruichladdich and why not Cardhu ... my favourite is still the Strathisla.
The appropriate discussion subject for LUG would be the relative merits of two or three pot distilling.
