I'd like to thank the other Doug, in Dublin, for his sound advice.  Think
I'll pass on this Canon 35/3.2.  (That said, I noticed an Italian price
list on the Internet which seemed to suggest it was worth a fair
bit.  Could be a Tuscan thing.)
