Still, there is a semi-sound reason to buy *user* Leicas as an investment: you'll get them for a relative song, and you'll always be able to get your money out of the them if you wish to move to different gear. I'm talking about cosmetically challenged Leicas in good working order: you can use them for ten years, playing rough, and still sell them for at least what you paid. This is reason enough not to buy the newest of fangled gadgets. Ever noticed the price on Polaroid SX-70s these days? When released, at three hundred dollars or so, the SX-70 was such groundbreaking tech that it was the subject of an article in Science, and a documentary by Eames. It's still a useful camera to artists, but it goes for about thirty bucks. cheers, Douglas Cooper
