That each offer an up side and a down side. For example; one down side of the Contax G2 is that there is not a King of Copenhagen deluxe gold plated edition in ebony box, velvet lining, Leica passport to camera collector's nirvana and a pricetag so huge that it could feed a homeless family for a year. Wait, was that an up or downside .I'm confused! On the other hand, one upside of the G2 is that is will auto focus, auto load, autobracket, auto wind and do TTL off camera with a sync speed of a 200th as long as you have Q2 $5.00 batteries installed. The camera will not do these functions -or any function other than being a door stop- without these batteries. Wait, I'm confused. . .is this an up side or down side. Again, each tool has a separate function. If you choose to build a house with a Danish hand saw and auger drill/bit. . .knock your sox off. . .of you choose to use Dewalt power tools this is also OK. But to put them in the same pot and argue about them is counter productive and absurd. In my humble opinion anyway. Some time ago someone said the G2 was nothing but a glorified point and shoot. In my experience with the G2 and M6 this person is ignorant to the abilities and results the G2 is capable of. The M6 is a great camera, so is the G2. If, as you point out, the M6 could not be used efficiently because of poor eyesight, then that's something else again. It's not cost. > > > > >> From: "Takeshi Hashimoto" <hashimoto.takeshi@mailcity.com> > > >> > > >> What does this have to do with "cost". > > > > ><Snip> > > Yes and to make a small point: > Every time you shot with your G2 a small part of your soul rots away. > Until you left with a steaming hunk of steaming....DNA confusion. > Leica M photography however is an uplifting experience in every way! > Leica photographers are known to all of a sudden blink off into a gleaming all > knowing state of bliss!* > But i don't wish to put too fine of a point on it! > Mark :-) Rabiner > *not the same as f8 and be there.
