Any feedback >would be appreciated. i honestly cannot see any reason why one would choose the elmar 50 over the summicron, except for compactness, i.e., if you needed to slip the m6/50 in and out of your pants pocket. and if compactness is that important for you, ditch your m6 and get a sm leica with an elmar 50/3.5, which will slip into your shirt pocket! as you mention, the price difference is minimal, so for that little bit of money you get a faster lens that is generally recognized as one of the best 50s around. i'd go for (and did, when i bought an m6) the summicron. guy
