Subject: [Leica] FS: Finder cases and trout flies

While the response has not exactly been overwhelming, enough people
have e-mailed me with semi-serious inquiries to keep my son's hopes up
that he will be the next internet millionaire. Here's the deal: He will
make finder cases for $5 each (USD), postage included.

Please realize it really is my 12-year-old son who is making these so they
are not "professionally" finished. They really are quite nice, however.
They are about 2 x 2 inches (5 x 5 cm), genuine chamois leather, the seams
are sewn inside, and there is a leather drawstring sewn into the top. I
think you will like them. I like mine.

We offer a money back guarantee! If you do not think they are worth $5 I
will refund your money.

We also offer a Bob McEowen special. While we aren't tying dry flies now
since
it is too cold for dry-fly fishing, we are tying Wooly Buggers. If you
know what a Wooly Bugger is, and actually still want one, we will throw one
in free. If you don't know what a Wooly Bugger is, believe me, you do not
want one! Size and color may vary.

Just drop me an e-mail with your mailing address if you are interested and I
will send you our address.

This is an after school, after homework, after ice hockey enterprise so
orders greater than 100 units cannot be accepted (since only a few of you
on the list actually know me, I should probably say that is an attempt at
humor).

I should also probably say a little about myself. Other than posting a
couple questions and sending a few private e-mails to LUG members, I have
mainly been lurking here since early last summer. While I have not had much
impact on the LUG, the LUG has had quite an impact on me. When I first
subscribed, I had an M6, a 50 mm Summicron and a 35mm ASPH Summicron.
I now have a titanium M6, a DS M3, a 90 mm Elmarit, a 1960's 50 mm Elmar
2.8, a 24 mm ASPH Elmarit, the Cosina 15 that started this whole finder case
thing, and, gulp, three days ago ordered a Noctilux. I used to drink
single-malt
scotch (before I started buying Leicas), I own a Tilley hat, as does each of
my sons,
but I don't clean my lenses with my underwear. Two out of three isn't bad!

And I am still married. At least until the Noctilux arrives!
