Due to the circuitry in the camera, you need to ground the camera properly. If you dont do that, you can fry the board. The earlier M's were much easier to dismantle and put back together, the M6 and the M6TTL is a different kettle of fish. A fried circuit board can cost upwards of $400 to replace so there could be some false economy there. Also cleaning the prisms and mirrors in the viewfinder is not a simple case of 'window "cleaning, the mirror are surface silvered and extremely fragile. Tom A
